a commitment to quality for business and professional clients

Micro-Groups

The International Business Communications Course

If your prime need is the experience of working in a multinational environment, explaining, instructing, persuading and negotiating, a full day in a micro group will meet your needs. You will experience the full benefit of experimenting with and developing communicative skills with fellow participants of other nationalities and business cultures. In other words, “Exposure without risk”.

Levels

Because of their intensive, interactive nature we recommend The International Business Communications Micro-Group training from intermediate to advanced levels (CEF B1 - C1/2) only throughout the year. (Groups at pre-intermediate level are formed at the discretion of the Managing Director).

Participant profile

Participants come from a wide spectrum of business, industrial and professional backgrounds. They share the need to function effectively in English in work situations where group interaction is paramount.

Trainers

You will have one morning trainer and a different trainer in the afternoon. They liaise daily to ensure perfectly integrated training based on the CLT System©.

Testing and Grouping

Groups are formed on the following basis:

  • Pre-arrival information (registration form, telephone contact).
  • Interview with each participant on arrival.
  • A back-up placement test on arrival.
The main criterion for placement is level of oral competence. However, the professional background and personal style of each individual is also taken into consideration.

Training Certificate

Each participant receives a certificate of training outlining the components of the training.

Training Assessment

After the training we provide a detailed written assessment analysing current strengths and weaknesses, with suggestions for future learning strategies. The assessment contains input from both trainers and the Managing Director.

Post-training tutorial

A personal video presentation, analysed, corrected and reformulated by CLT, is sent to the participant after training.

What next?

A follow-up distance coaching service is also available, either by telephone or online. This can be customised to suit individual requirements and budgets.
